Information on Sample Collection

The tap shall be opened fully and the water allowed running to waste for two to three minutes or for a sufficient time to permit clearing of the service line. The flow from the tap shall then be restricted to permit filling the bottle with.

If we collect the sample directly from a stream, river, lake, reservoir, spring, or a shallow well; Hold the bottle in the hand near its base and plunging it neck downward under the surface.

Plant diseases are caused by a variety of living organisms, called pathogens. This includes fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, phytoplasmas and parasitic plants. They can also be caused by nonliving agents, such as air pollutants, nutrient imbalances, and various environmental factors. New diseases and changes in existing pathogens remain a constant challenge for agriculture.

Our on-staff plant pathologists cooperate with plant breeders, crop management, and insect and weed specialists in developing integrated, environmentally sound approaches to managing crops and their pests. A plant pathologist is a professional who specializes in plant health, much like a physician specializing in human health or a veterinarian in animal health keeping plants healthy requires an understanding of organisms and agents that cause disease as well as an understanding of how plants grow and are affected by disease. Soil & Fertilizer

The Denele soil test is a process by which elements (phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfur, manganese, copper and zinc) are chemically removed from the soil and measured for their “plant available” content within the sample. The quantity of available nutrients in the sample determines the amount of fertilizer that is recommended. A soil test also measures soil pH, humic matter and exchangeable acidity. These analyses indicate whether lime is needed and, if so, how much to apply .

Why Do You Need A Soil Test?

Knowing the makeup of your soil helps you to encourage plant growth by getting the best lime and fertilizer recommendations. When growers guess about the need for lime or fertilizers, too little or too much is likely to be applied. By using a soil test report, the grower does not need to guess.


* Diagnoses whether there is too little or too much of a nutrient.
* Promotes environmental quality.
* Saves money that might otherwise be spent on unneeded lime and fertilizer.

For Example: When applying too much lime, soil pH may rise above the needed level, which causes nutrients such as iron, manganese, boron, copper and zinc to become less available to plants. If a house holder purchases one bag of fertilizer, and only one bag of lime, it may present a problem. Based on an average lawn size of 5000 square feet, one bag of fertilizer may be enough. Applying one bag of lime over 5000 square feet, however, will have little effect on soil pH. Expand that to full-scale farming.

We cutting-edge research is carried out, with scientific excellence as a major objective. Research activity focuses on issues of utmost relevance for developing countries, plant biotechnology, as well as on basic research topics that can be effectively tackled through a science-based approach focusing on research and on the ensuing biomedical and agricultural applications.

Microbiology (WEEK 2) – Basic of Microbiology, concept of basic calculation for stock media preparation, Different Sterilization techniques, Solid and Liquid media preparation, Isolation of bacteria from different sources, Serial Dilution techniques, Various methods for streaking and spreading for inoculation methods, isolation of pure colonies, Gram staining and Biochemical testing.

Plant Tissue Culture (WEEK 3) – Plant tissue culture (basics), Sterilization techniques, Media preparation for tissue culture, Inoculation of explants, Surface sterilization technique and Meristem culture .

Food Technology (WEEK 7) -Preparation of chemical & Reagents, Analysis of Milk, Microbial contamination of health drinks, Biochemical analysis of different food products.

Industrial Microbiology (WEEK III) - Isolation of pure culture from different sources - Air, water, soil, industrial influence etc., Aseptic technique and transfer of microorganisms, Bacterial staining, capsule stain, Endospore staining and bacterial motility, Biochemical test - Protease test, Methyl Red Test, Starch hydrolysis test, Gelatin hydrolysis test, Catalase test, Oxidase test, VP test etc., Disc and well diffusion test of different antibiotics, Calculate the cfu/ml.
